Grampy Matthews

Grampy Matthews (Johnny's Dad) came to visit this past week. The boys had a blast with him! We don't get to see much of each other since Grampy lives in Phoenix and , well, we don't! I'm thinking this week was quite an adventure. John arrived in 100+ degree weather with 150% humidity. He weathered the tornado warnings and subsequent storm damage with us. Got to see Ethan do his thing in trampoline and gymnastics. Went to the beach, the pool, the new Mexican restaurant, the VBS carnival & one very interesting Sunday School class discussion (thanks Linda!). Played countless hours of Wii and watched the Olympics with an OCD fan (that would be me) and discovered that we have a lovely mouse living in our basement amongst my school materials. Yuck. But best of all, we got to spend some good times together as a family. Something we haven't been able to do in years.
So Grampy, let's not wait so long before we see each other again, okay?
